How superficial chemical peels work
Professional superficial peels use selected low-concentration acids to exfoliate the upper layers of the skin. The formulation and strength are chosen for your skin, helping to improve brightness, minor roughness, congestion and uneven-looking tone.
What to expect
- The peel is applied to cleansed skin for a controlled period. A mild prickling, itching or warming sensation can occur.
- Depending on the peel, the product is neutralised or removed before finishing products and SPF are applied.
- Over the following days, you may notice light dryness or fine flaking rather than dramatic peeling.
- Daily high-factor broad-spectrum SPF is essential after treatment because freshly exfoliated skin is more vulnerable to UV exposure.
