Thread Vein Treatment

Laser treatment can target the blood vessels beneath the skin, helping to reduce their appearance while leaving the surrounding skin largely unaffected.

What are thread veins?
Thread veins, also known as spider veins or telangiectasia, are small dilated blood vessels close to the skin's surface. They often appear as red, purple or blue lines, particularly around the nose and cheeks or on the legs.
How light-based treatment works
- A targeted wavelength of light passes through the skin and is absorbed by haemoglobin within the visible vessel.
- The light converts to controlled heat, causing the vessel walls to coagulate and close.
- Over the following weeks, the body gradually clears the treated vessel and the visible line fades.
