Fungal Nail Treatment

Target fungal nail concerns with professional laser treatment.

Fungal nail infections can cause nails to become discoloured, thickened, brittle or distorted.

Laser treatment may be used as part of an approach to managing fungal nail concerns, with the aim of supporting healthier-looking nail growth over time.

Because nails grow slowly, treatment requires patience and consistency. We'll assess the affected nail before treatment and explain what you can realistically expect.

How laser fungal nail treatment works

Laser energy passes through the nail plate and creates controlled heat within the affected nail and nail bed. The aim is to create an environment that is less favourable to the fungus while supporting clearer nail growth over time.

  • The nail is treated in careful horizontal and vertical passes.
  • You may feel a strong, building warmth or prickling heat during treatment.
  • Because healthy toenails grow slowly, visible improvement takes time and cannot be guaranteed.

Diagnosis and aftercare

Discolouration and thickening can have causes other than fungus, so a confirmed diagnosis from a doctor or podiatrist is required before treatment. Hygiene, footwear and any recommended home care remain important throughout your course.
