Skin Blemish Removal

Cherry Angiomas

Reduce the appearance of unwanted red vascular marks.

Cherry angiomas are small, benign red marks caused by an accumulation of tiny blood vessels within the skin. They can occur almost anywhere on the body and often become more noticeable with age.

Depending on the individual lesion, laser or another appropriate treatment method may be used to reduce its appearance. Each area is assessed before treatment to establish suitability.

Any new, changing or unusual skin lesion should be assessed by an appropriate medical professional before cosmetic treatment.

What are cherry angiomas?

Cherry angiomas, sometimes called Campbell de Morgan spots, are common benign growths formed from small blood vessels. They usually appear as bright red, smooth or slightly raised marks on the torso, arms or shoulders.

How advanced epilation works

A very fine probe delivers a high-frequency current that applies precise heat to seal the small vessels feeding the angioma. The treated spot then dries and sheds as the skin heals.

  • Treatment takes only seconds for many individual spots.
  • The sensation is usually a brief hot pinch or prick.
  • A small dark crust may form within 24 to 48 hours and shed in around 5 to 10 days, although body areas can take longer.

Assessment before removal

Cherry angiomas are usually harmless, but any new, changing, bleeding or unusual lesion should be assessed by an appropriate medical professional before cosmetic treatment.
