Skin Blemish Removal

Milia

Smooth, clearer-looking skin.

Milia are tiny, firm white or skin-coloured cysts that commonly appear around the eyes and face. They form when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin.

Depending on the type and location of the milia, they can often be safely removed using an appropriate professional technique. We'll assess your skin and the individual milia before recommending treatment.

Ideal for: small white bumps, milia around the eyes and facial milia.

How milia removal works

Milia are small cysts containing trapped keratin and do not have a natural surface opening. Advanced epilation uses a fine probe and targeted high-frequency heat to soften and release the plug with minimal disruption to surrounding skin.

Sensation and healing

  • Each milium usually takes only seconds to treat and may feel like a brief hot pinch or sharp prick.
  • A small white halo or local redness can appear immediately afterwards.
  • A tiny dry crust may develop within 24 to 48 hours and usually sheds naturally within 5 to 7 days.
  • Do not pick or scratch the crust, as this protects the fresh skin beneath.
